Who We Are?

Minlak is a non-profit organization, funded by the New Brunswick Department

of Social Development, as well as funding by the New Brunswick Enviromental Trust Fund.

 

Minlak Training Programs Inc. is a registered charitable organization if one wishes to make a donation

a receipt can be given for taxation purposes.

 

Our Mandate

 

To provide a diverse range of services that supports individual choices and facilitates quality lifestyles

for adults with disabilities.

 

 

Our Objective

 

To Provide developmental activities and training for disabled adults aged 19-64.

 

Our Staff

Our staff meets requirements With continued education In social role valorization, behavioral support,

program planning, individual support plans and emergency First Aid/CPR.

Staff must meet criminal record checks and comply with terms of

social development record checks.

 

Board of Directors

 

Board of Director positions are volunteer-based and are comprised of

several individual sub-committees to govern Minlak programs. Board

meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of each month. New members

are nominated during Minlak's Annual General Meeting each May.

 

Minlak Subsidiaries

 

Minlak operates a recycling/waste reduction program in the Grand

Lake area. Participants sort recyclable products, eventually transferred

to Fredericton Region Solid Waste. Minlak's program accepts

batteries, newspapers, flyers, office mix paper, magazines, catalogues,

phone books, cardboard and all beverage containers except milk

products. Items can be placed in designated bins behind the building

at 42 Cedar St., home of Minto Elementary and Middle School.
